Policies and Guidelines on the Services of LRC

​

  • Borrowing, Renewal and Returning Guidelines

 The circulation services cover the borrowing, renewal and returning of the  materials by the clients. The procedures are covered by the automated system;  however, the policies on overdue fines and penalty, the maximum volumes to be  borrowed, and the due dates are determined the staff assigned based on the  approved standards set for the current year/ semester. The renewal privilege is  given only once for every client. This is to ensure that the resources are  maximized by the general student population.

  • Photocopying Request Services

 The maximum time allotment for the service is determined by the staff assigned,  but not exceeding two hours. In case of special situations and cases, the staff  assigned shall delegate the photocopying services to the student assistants.

  • Provisions for LRC Card

 The LRC Card is non- transferable; thus it is for the exclusive use of the person  indicated. In case of loss, an affidavit of loss duly notified by the Dean shall be  presented, and payment for the second issuance of card shall be done at the  Cashier’s Office.

  • Special Situation/ Case
    If a client intends to borrow materials from General &Filipiniana Sections at the same time, he/she can borrow a maximum of two titles from General & 1 title from Filipiniana sections respectively.

  • A client can borrow material in behalf of another person, provided that an authorization letter signified by the card owner & the LRC Card is presented.

​

  • Reservation of Facilities & Equipment

 Reservation of facilities and equipment shall be processed upon  accomplishment of the official forms available at the Center. The provisions on  the duration and availability of the requested materials are under the  obligations and responsibility of the staff assigned.

  • Orientation Programs

 The Center provides orientation program to freshmen and transferees every  semester and/or upon the request of the academic department. The committee  is responsible for planning, strategizing, and implementing the program based  on the current trends and style adopted by the Center.

​

  • In- house Lectures & Seminars

 The Center provides lecture and seminars to the students and faculty based on  the needs and request of the academic department. The topic shall focus on  research- related activities, referencing, research assistance and other related  topics as identified.

​

  • Accreditation Process Support

 The Center, as one of the key areas in the Accreditation process supports all  academic programs that apply for such. Relatively, the documents and exhibits  are regularly updated and compiled.

​

  • Community Extension Services

 The Center has a regular committee on community extension services that is  responsible for the coordination and planning of the activities.

​

  • Referral Services

 A client who intends to conduct research to other institutions shall secure a  Referral Letter from the Office of the Director. The form is available at the  Center, free of charge. The request shall be made at least two (2) days before  the scheduled date.

​

  • LRC Activities

 The Center regularly conducts and provides academic activities to the students  and employees that ensure awareness of services provided.

​

  • Reference Services

 The Center provides research assistance and reference services to the clients.  The service can be extended through the use of online inquiries, such as the  Center’s official l Facebook Account and . The pathfinder services is also  included – a list of academically- related websites posted and disseminated  strategically to provide alternative reference sources.
